Based on the traditional Japanese fish prints called “gyotaku” and Kirby’s mola mola sunfish friend named Kine. Kine first appeared in Kirby’s Dream Land 2 on Gameboy. The Japanese text comes from the Japanese instruction manual for Kirby’s Dream Land 3 and reads:
“In the Ocean, Kine is an excellent swimmer. He can swim against the current and can even dash.”
